The spectacularly erupting Mount Asama is dominating the view, with the purple and scarlet clouds adding to the general sense of unease spread over valley.
The recently fallen ash and large boulders on the crown of the volcano imply its brooding power and menace to the feeble inhabitants down below - fragile trees, bushes - and puny humans (one of which is chasing their straw hat, ripped of her/his head by the stormy wind).
