From the series "Famous Places of Edo", ca. 1849-52

The print portrays a vibrant winter scene on the streets of Edo. Softly falling evening snow has covered the rooftops, trees, and streets. Two well-dressed beauties in matching kimonos walk purposefully - perhaps to visit a shrine or attend a party. They move energetically through the snow, holding up the hems of their kimonos, revealing small white feet in high geta sandals, their faces turned toward each other as they talk with excitement or anticipation of the pleasant evening ahead.

Haiku calligraphy on the back of the card:
