A beautiful work from Ohara Kōson, the master of kachō-e genre (a sub-genre of ukiyo-e that focuses on scenes from nature - birds, animals, flowers), that combines Kōson's typical naturalistic style and stylised detailing for the modern, almost minimalistic impact.
