A wonderfully strange Victorian Christmas card featuring a rather startled child encountering an enormous goat beneath a fruit tree, with the festive greeting I Have Come to Greet You.
Dating from the late 19th century, the design is a wonderfully eccentric example of Victorian Christmas imagery. The enormous horned visitor appears to have suddenly emerged from the woodland specifically to deliver his seasonal greetings - although the child's expression suggests that his arrival may not be entirely welcome.
Carefully restored from the original Victorian card, the design preserves the colour, character and wonderfully peculiar details of the period artwork.
