"Bahram Gur Sees a Herd of Deer Mesmerized by Dilaram's Music", attributed to Miskin, c. 1597–98.

In the painting, we see King Bahram Gur gesturing toward the beautiful Dilaram in an expression of recognition or wonder.

Dilaram was his constant hunting companion, who had been abandoned by him earlier following a fight between them. During his absence, she elevated her harp-playing skills to a magical level, entrancing and captivating every living creature that heard her melodies. As news of the otherworldly musician reached the king's ears, he rode out in search of her and found her in a lush meadow, playing her harp and singing. Deer, gazelle, foxes, and birds gathered around, spellbound by Dilaram's music, gazing at her with an air of tranquility and fascination. Deeply impressed by the scene, King Bahram asked for Dilaram's forgiveness, and they returned to his palace together.

This painting expresses the harmony and universal appeal of beauty, the power of art and music to connect different realms of existence, bridging the gap between humans and animals, transcending the trivial to reach the profound.
