A selection of works by Virginia Frances Sterrett (1900–1931), one of the most talented American artists and illustrators of the era.

Despite her life being tragically short, her creative output was exceptional, especially considering the fact that she had to work on her art skills by herself, having had to leave the art school to be the main provider for her family. In contrast to her prosaic circumstances, the images that she created are filled with ethereal beauty. The delicate, lovely figures, magical flowers and creatures fill her fairy kingdoms, sublime in colour and detail. They are really out of this world ♥
