Wholesale Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Strand Wholesale!
These terms apply to business customers purchasing products through our wholesale area or through a wholesale order agreed directly with us.
By accessing a Strand wholesale account or placing a wholesale order, you agree to these terms. Our standard retail Terms of Service apply separately to ordinary consumer purchases.

1. About Us
These Wholesale Terms & Conditions apply to products supplied by Strand Clothing, including products sold under the Strand® and Strand Clothing® brands. We’re an independent design business based in the Midlands, UK.

2. Wholesale Accounts and Eligibility
Our wholesale area is intended for retailers, galleries, museum and heritage shops, bookshops, art and design retailers, online retailers and other businesses or organisations purchasing products for resale.
Wholesale applications are reviewed individually. Creating or submitting an application does not automatically provide access to wholesale pricing or the trade catalogue.
Wholesale account access is intended for the approved business or organisation and should not be shared with third parties.
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend or withdraw wholesale access where we reasonably believe an account is being misused or is no longer being used for legitimate trade purchasing.
3. Orders and Minimum Quantities
Our current opening order minimum is £125, unless otherwise agreed with us.
Reorders may be subject to a lower minimum, as stated in the wholesale area or agreed directly with us.
For individual greeting cards:
- Opening orders may contain any mix of designs, including single cards of each design.
- Repeat orders are normally supplied in quantities of at least 4 cards per design, unless otherwise agreed.
Postcard sets, badge sets, calendars, art prints and other products are sold in the quantities or sets shown in the wholesale catalogue.
Once you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation. All orders remain subject to product availability and our acceptance.
If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has entered production or preparation, we may not always be able to make changes or cancel it.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where an item is unavailable, there is an obvious pricing or listing error, or we have another reasonable concern about fulfilling the order. If payment has already been taken, the relevant amount will be refunded.
4. Prices and Payment
Wholesale prices are shown in British Pounds (GBP) unless otherwise stated.
The prices displayed in the wholesale catalogue or confirmed directly with us at the time an order is placed will apply to that order.
We may change our wholesale prices from time to time, but this will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
Any applicable taxes, delivery charges or other costs will be shown at checkout, on the invoice, or confirmed before payment.
Payment is required at the time of ordering unless alternative payment terms have been agreed with us in writing.
Orders will not normally be dispatched until payment has been received.
5. Stock and Lead Times
We are a small independent business and hold practical quantities of our products rather than maintaining large warehouse stocks of every design.
Many orders can be fulfilled from existing stock and dispatched promptly.
Larger quantities, or products requiring additional printing or production, may require a lead time of up to 7 working days unless otherwise stated.
If we expect an order to take materially longer than the indicated lead time, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Product availability shown on the website is provided in good faith, but occasional stock discrepancies may occur.
6. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping charges and available delivery methods will be shown at checkout or confirmed with you before the order is finalised.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on destination, order size and shipping method.
Once an order has been dispatched, delays caused by postal services, couriers, customs or circumstances outside our reasonable control may be beyond our control. We will, however, assist wherever reasonably possible if a delivery problem occurs.
For international orders, the customer is responsible for any local customs charges, import duties or taxes that may become payable in the destination country.
Please check your delivery address carefully when placing an order.
7. Returns, Damages and Shortages
Wholesale purchases are business-to-business transactions and are separate from our retail returns policy.
Returns of non-faulty wholesale goods are accepted only by prior agreement with us.
Please check your delivery when it arrives and contact us promptly if:
- goods have arrived damaged;
- an item is defective;
- an incorrect product has been supplied; or
- part of the order is missing.
Where possible, please include photographs of damaged goods and packaging.
We ask that problems with an order are reported within 7 days of delivery so that we can investigate promptly.
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a replacement, refund or credit for the affected goods.
Products produced or ordered specially to fulfil a particular wholesale order may not be returnable unless they are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied.
8. Resale and Product Presentation
Wholesale products purchased from Strand may be resold through your approved retail business in the normal course of trade.
Products should not be altered, relabelled or presented in a way that misrepresents their origin, artwork, manufacturer or association with Strand.
Where we provide product photographs, descriptions or other promotional material specifically for use by our wholesale stockists, these may be used to promote genuine Strand products purchased from us.
Such material remains our intellectual property and must not be used for unrelated products or purposes.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including but not limited to our original designs, product photography, written material, branding, graphics and other creative content — is owned by Strand Clothing or used by us with appropriate rights or permissions.
Purchasing products from us for resale does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property associated with those products.
We do not allow our designs, artwork, photographs, product descriptions or other protected material to be copied, reproduced, printed, manufactured, licensed or otherwise commercially exploited without our prior written permission.
Where our products incorporate artwork that is itself in the public domain, Strand’s own design work, layouts, photography, written content and presentation remain protected.
10. Third-Party Links
We sometimes link to independent platforms and websites.
We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability or security of third-party websites or services.
Following an external link is at your own discretion.
11. User Content
If you tag Strand, send us photographs of our products in your shop, or otherwise share content with us, we may ask for permission to repost or share that content.
Where permission is given, we will aim to credit you appropriately.
Please only send or share content that you have the right to use.
12. Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously.
We use personal and business information where necessary to process applications, manage wholesale accounts, fulfil orders, communicate with customers and operate our website.
We do not sell your personal information.
Marketing emails are sent only where appropriate consent has been given, and you can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Wholesale Terms & Conditions from time to time as our wholesale service develops.
The latest version will always be published on our website together with the date it was last updated.
Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms of an order that has already been confirmed.
